Weatherford Regional Medical Center is Building Up to a Bigger Future

Weatherford, TX (April 6, 2011) - On Wednesday, April 6, hospital officials, community members, business leaders and elected officials celebrated the groundbreaking of Weatherford Regional Medical Center’s $22.3 million Phase II expansion/renovation project.

“We’re continuing to grow to meet the needs of Parker County,” said Cory Countryman, CEO. “This expansion has been carefully planned to incorporate the types of medical services our community needs and will add private patient rooms and allow us to expand our services as well.”

When fully completed, the expansion will add more than 46,000 square feet to the Weatherford Regional campus including 52 new medical/surgical private rooms, eight critical care rooms, a cardiac catheterization lab, an enhanced endoscopy suite and additional parking.

“We’re looking forward to providing enhanced privacy by offering all private rooms once this project is complete,” said Donna Boone, chief nursing officer.

“We are committed to the needs of our patients and physicians. The new cath lab represents the next step in meeting those needs, “said Dr. Scott Walker, chief of staff.

“This project is another example of the commitment Weatherford Regional has made to patients in Parker County to provide care close to home,” said Cory Countryman, CEO.
