Weatherford Regional Medical Center Wraps Up a New Patient Tower
A $22 Million Gift to the Community

WEATHERFORD, TX (March 6, 2012) - Designed with better healing in mind, as well as patients’ safety and comfort, Weatherford Regional Medical Center now offers all private patient rooms and include family-friendly amenities like comfortable reclining sleeper chairs, allowing family members to conveniently stay overnight.

Hospital officials, community members, business leaders and elected officials celebrated the grand opening of Weatherford Regional Medical Center’s $22.3 million patient tower featuring all private rooms on Tuesday, March 6. The new tower sported a giant red bow, signifying the hospital’s expansion as a gift to the community.

“Our commitment is to provide Parker County residents healthcare that is close to home and this new patient tower is clear evidence of that commitment,” said Cory Countryman, WRMC chief executive officer.

“The private rooms are almost hotel-like in their size and amenities, such as flat panel televisions and large bathrooms, but the bottom line for patients is that private rooms save money in medication costs, length of stay and procedures.” said Donna Boone, WRMC chief nursing officer.

This expansion added more than 46,000 square feet to the Weatherford Regional campus including eight critical care rooms, a cardiac catheterizations lab, an enhanced endoscopy suite and additional parking.
