Parker County Residents Stay Close to Home with New Cardiovascular Center
Weatherford Regional Medical Center offers only lab in the County
WEATHERFORD, TX (Feb. 13, 2012) - Weatherford Regional Medical Center recently celebrated the opening of Parker County’s first and only cardiac catheterization lab. Physicians performed the first procedures at the new Heart and Vascular Center on February 1.
Designed with the latest monitoring and digital imaging technology, the Heart and Vascular Center features the GE Innova® 3100IQ all digital cardiovascular and interventional imaging system which helps physicians to clearly see the blood vessels and anatomy of the heart, as well as blood vessels throughout the entire body – even small, fine vessels all the way to the fingertips.
“This technology allows physicians to diagnose and treat cardiovascular patients who have a wide range of conditions, all in one system,” says Donna Boone Chief Nursing Officer. “Many patients coming to Weatherford Regional Medical Center have both coronary and vascular conditions, which we can now more accurately and efficiently diagnose – and in some cases even treat – during a single procedure. This eliminates the stress and inconvenience of having to undergo multiple procedures.”
“Weatherford Regional continues to be committed to providing our physicians with the most sophisticated equipment that will in turn save more lives,” says Cory Countryman Chief Executive Officer. “Our patients depend on us for the very best quality of care.” From our exceptional emergency and critical care to diagnostic testing, interventional and surgical capabilities and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation, Weatherford Regional Medical Center has a comprehensive cardiovascular program.”
