Weatherford Regional Medical Center Invites You to the Healthy Woman Sweethearts Fashion Show
WEATHERFORD, TX (Feb. 1, 2010) - Weatherford Regional Medical Center (WRMC) and its Healthy Woman Advisory Council invite women of all ages to attend “Healthy Woman Sweethearts Fashion Show.” The event will be held at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center, 1400 Texas Drive in Weatherford, with a women’s expo and hors d’oeuvres from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. followed by the fashion show featuring breast cancer survivors modeling spring fashions from Belk Department Store, Bealls, Kohl’s, Truly Trendy, Teskey’s and Zinnias 2 Zebras demonstrating that you can look good and feel great after a diagnosis. Randy Cox will be the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
General admission tickets may be purchased at the door for a $5 donation. All proceeds will benefit Parker County’s Miles for Mammograms program. Miles for Mammograms helps underserved women receive annual mammograms. A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes and a woman dies of breast cancer every thirteen minutes in the U.S. While doctors and scientists are still working toward a cure, they are making progress in fighting this deadly disease. Breast cancer death rates have dropped in recent years thanks to early detection, new technology and improved treatments.
